Job summary

Gallagher Services, a Catholic Charities program, seeks a Direct Support Professional for full-time overnight shifts in Sparks Glencoe, MD. You’ll support adults with developmental disabilities to live meaningful, independent lives and build trusted relationships. Pay is $20–$23.50 per hour.

Schedule: Mon–Thu 11 PM–9 AM. Duties include cooking, daily living assistance, driving if needed, lifting up to 75 pounds, and maintaining care records.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points
• Comfortable driving agency vehicles and assisting people who use wheelchairs
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds, stand for long periods, and provide physical assistance when needed
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete)

• Cook nutritious meals.
• Support daily routines such as bathing, dressing, and personal care in a way that promotes dignity, independence, and choice.
• Be patient and respectful in action and speaking.
• Advocate for each person’s rights and help build their confidence and sense of self.
• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support.

PAY RANGE: $20 - $23.50 per hour (Depending on years of experience and certifications)

We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who values people for who they are and is excited to walk alongside adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they engage in the activities they love and pursue their goals.

Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday 11 PM - 9 AM

A Day in the Life:

You’ll spend your days assisting with care to a group of people who enjoy:

• Going to the Park and walking trails
• Doing Arts and Crafts
• Going to the movies
• Going Shopping
