Job summary

Thriving Together Support Services in Greenfield, IN is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (Caregiver) to provide personalized care to individuals with disabilities. You will assist with daily living, personal care, and community activities, while documenting progress and adhering to care plans.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, background checks, and flexibility for evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with IDD.
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, and other ADLs.
• Support individuals in community integration, social activities, and recreational outings.
• Administer medications and document care per care plans.
• Implement ISPs and behavioral support strategies.
• Communicate with supervisors, family members, and healthcare professionals regarding client progress.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment for all clients.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior experience in caregiving, direct support, or human services preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
