Job summary

Rainier School in Buckley, WA is recruiting a Direct Support Professional to assist residents with daily routines, safety, and skill-building. You will work on-site at the Rainier Residential Habilitation Center, following individualized plans to ensure compassionate, personalized care in a team setting.

Evening and night shifts offer a differential; Orca Card may be provided for transportation; on-site work 3+ days may add 5% premium pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• One year of experience working with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily routines (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating).
• Use positive approaches to encourage independence and social behavior.
• Assist residents in developing skills like personal safety, community awareness, and household tasks.
• Follow each resident’s Individual Habilitation Plan to ensure personalized care.
• Provide protective interventions for residents with dual diagnoses.
• Escort and support residents during appointments, outings, and events.
• Accurately document progress and report observations to the team.
