Job summary

ARISE CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICE INC in Baldwinsville area is seeking a Back Up Direct Support Professional to support a person with a physical disability, using an electric wheelchair, in home and community settings.

Shifts run daily from 8am–4pm and 4pm–10pm; per diem staffing may be called to fill open shifts. Driver's license required and training on transfers will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Effective communication and organizational skills required.

• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
• Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.

Inderais seeking a BACK UP Direct Support Professional in Baldwinsville, near the Radisson community.

Shifts are everyday 8am to 4pm and 4pm to 10pm.

This position is for a back up staffing, you would be hired on and in the event that she had an open shift you could be asked to fill in.

She requires total assistance with activities of daily life due to a physical disability and always utilizes an electric wheelchair both in the home and community. The individual is looking for reliable, compassionate and responsible staff to assist her with maintaining her independence both at home and in the community. Some responsibilities include assisting with Personal Care, Light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, taking her to some medical appointments and other activities in the community.

She has an indoor cat that lives in the home and is very important to her. She is a huge SU fan, lover of sports and enjoys baking.

New hires will have training shifts on transfers using an electric sit-to-stand/track system. New hires must have a driver's license, as you will be driving her modified minivan in the community.

The current pay rate is $21.50.
