Job summary

Dungarvin in Eugene, Oregon seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands-on support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily activities, meals, transportation, and community participation while ensuring health, safety, and achievement of personal goals.

You will document care plans, communicate with the care team, and participate in a two-week paid orientation.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for individuals with IDD preferred.
• Must be 18+ and provide references.
• Two weeks paid in-house orientation and training (M-F 9am-5pm for two weeks)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to document care and follow support plans.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support residents while maintaining a safe environment.
• Provide companionship and promote independence and self-care.
• Assist with activities of daily living (dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating).
• Prepare meals and snacks.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide transportation in the community.
• Assist with mobility and transfers, including using lift devices.
• Implement positive behavior supports and de-escalate when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
