Ardmore Enterprises is seeking Direct Support Professionals to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live fuller, more independent lives in a supportive residential setting.

Responsibilities include person-centered planning, teaching daily living skills, coordinating social activities, and assisting with household tasks to promote community participation and safety.

Qualifications

• Earned High School Diploma or GED from an accredited educational institution.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Able to communicate effectively with the individuals to whom services are provided.
• Experience in a residential setting serving people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or with other types of special needs populations.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and fulfilling their dreams by having a “person-centered” focus.
• Teach independent living and daily skills to the persons-served by identifying and meeting social, environmental, and health care needs such as daily grooming and personal care routines.
• Actively plans, coordinates, and participates with residents in social activities including frequent community outings.
• Instructs, supports and participates in performing household tasks with persons served such as cleaning, preparing meals, food shopping, etc.
