Job summary

Envision Unlimited is seeking a Direct Support Professional to help individuals with disabilities in residential settings across Chicagoland. You will assist with daily living tasks, personal care, transportation, meal prep, and medication management to promote independence.

The role requires patience, adherence to safety and crisis procedures, and the ability to work with diverse teams. Training is provided; multiple positions are available on Chicago South/North sides and suburbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED (required proof).
• Be able to pass a background check.
• Reliable transportation.
• DSP experience preferred.
• Multiple job positions available throughout Chicagoland area, including Chicago South and North sides, North and South Suburbs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assist residents with personal grooming and appearance.
• Transport and accompany residents to appointments and day programs.
• Supervise and assist residents in taking their medications.
• Assist residents in daily schedules, including household chores, social activities, and meetings.
• Perform cleaning and housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and mopping.
• Monitor and assist residents with daily bedroom maintenance.
• Respond to medical and behavioral emergencies following Health and Safety procedures.
• Plan menus and assist with meal preparation.
• Perform other essential responsibilities as needed to meet program requirements.
