Opengate, Inc. is seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide compassionate care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Mohegan Lake, Pleasantville, and Yorktown Heights.

The role includes daily living support, advocacy, medication assistance under RN guidance, and participation in treatment planning. Benefits include paid training, health insurance, a 401(k) and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License in the Tri-State Area (NY, NJ, CT).
• Proficient in basic computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including personal hygiene, feeding, and healthcare tasks.
• Advocate for individuals by ensuring access to services and participating in treatment planning.
• Develop knowledge of behavior management and follow crisis intervention protocols (SCIP), including physical interventions if necessary.
• Assist with daily living activities, household tasks, and recreational programs to support independence and skill development.
• Dispense medications under RN guidance and complete daily documentation of habilitation services and medical charts.
