Job summary

Northwest Care LLC in Bend, Oregon is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide 24-hour, person-centered support for adults with disabilities. You will assist with daily living activities, meals, mobility, and medication administration, while promoting independence and community involvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Age 18 or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Background checks: Criminal history (ORCHARDS) and driving background clearance.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred CPR/First Aid, Oregon Intervention System (OIS), and Tier 1/2 competencies, or willingness to receive training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive, supportive atmosphere while upholding client dignity.
• Assist with daily living activities and mobility.
• Encourage independence and community involvement.
• Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and household tasks.
• Oversee medication administration and documentation.
• Transport clients to community outings and recreational activities.
• Monitor changes in client condition and report concerns.
• Ensure safety and adherence to protocols.
