Job summary

Northwest Care LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Bend, Oregon. We provide 24-hour, person-centered support for adults with IDD in a home-like setting. Roles include helping with daily living, mobility, meals, and community involvement, with paid training and pathways for advancement.

We offer day, swing, and night shifts at $25–$27 per hour, depending on the shift. This full-time role emphasizes dignity, independence, and compassionate caregiving within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED completed.
• Age 18 years or older required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Background checks including criminal history and driving record.
• Ability to lift or transfer up to 50 pounds as needed.
• CPR/First Aid or Oregon-specific trainings preferred or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Uphold client dignity and provide a supportive atmosphere.
• Assist with daily living activities and mobility.
• Encourage independence and community involvement.
• Assist with meal prep, feeding, and household tasks.
• Oversee medication administration and documentation.
• Transport clients to community activities as needed.
• Monitor changes in client condition and report concerns.
• Maintain safety and adhere to care protocols.
