Job summary

UnityPoint Health is hiring for a role supporting individuals with mental health and disability needs. The position emphasizes ethical behavior, safety, and collaborative care within a residential setting.

You will develop service plans, provide daily living support, and document progress, while maintaining flexible cooperation to meet department goals. The role requires a high school diploma and a valid driver's license, with no mandatory previous experience.

Qualifications

• No experience necessary, mental health and/or other disability experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License Required.

Responsibilities

• Awareness of department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.g. Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse. Bring questions or concerns regarding compliance to staff.
• Conducts all aspects of the job in an ethical manner in support of the organization's commitment to ethical behavior.
• Cultivates a safe, supportive and professional relationship with consumers with a chronic mental illness and/or other disabilities.
• Develops measurable goals for those consumers, establishing service plans based on consumer needs and desires.
• Provides skill teaching and assisting with daily living in a residential setting.
• Documentation of goal progress and relevant personal interventions in an objective, clear and brief manner.
• Demonstrates a positive cooperative attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to change to meet department goals.
• Performs additional duties as may be assigned to ensure complete service to all customers.
