Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Direct Support Professional to help adults with developmental disabilities live meaningful, independent lives in Lutherville Timonium, Maryland. Pay range is $20.00-$20.50 per hour, with weekend shifts Saturday and Sunday 9 AM–9 PM.

As a DSP you will assist with daily routines, meals, transportation, and personal care while promoting dignity and independence. You will keep respectful records and advocate for rights, joining a team committed to

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years old.
Valid driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points.
Able to lift up to 75 pounds and assist with transfers.
Comfortable driving agency vehicles and assisting people who use wheelchairs.
Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete).

Responsibilities

Assist with daily routines such as bathing, dressing, and personal care fostering dignity.
Support meal preparation and healthy eating in a clean kitchen while promoting independence.
Be patient and respectful in action and speech.
Advocate for each person's rights and help build confidence and self-esteem.
Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support.
