Job summary

Venture Community Services is hiring a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Gardner, MA. This part-time role offers paid training and a supportive team focused on independence and community participation.

You will support daily activities, accompany clients to appointments, and implement individual support plans. A $1000 sign-on bonus for full-time and $500 for part-time employees is offered.

Qualifications

• Commitment to helping people with varying disabilities participate fully in their community and their own lives.
• Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of the team.
• Fluent English speaking, reading and writing required.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for and support adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily activities: household tasks, meals, shopping, appointments, community outings.
• Follow Behavior Support Plans and Individual Support Plans; assist with medications as needed.
