Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role emphasizes person-centered care, daily living assistance, and community engagement within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• Valid drivers license and proof of auto insurance.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness to assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with activities of daily living, household tasks, meal prep, shopping, budgeting, appointments, and community activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment.
• Promote independence, personal choice, and life skills development.
• Document progress and ISP-related goals to supervisors.
• Observe changes and communicate concerns to the team.
• Transport individuals to appointments and activities as needed.
• Complete accurate electronic documentation as required.
