Job summary

DABS, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide individualized support to adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

You will supervise health and safety, assist with daily living activities, and accompany individuals to appointments. The role emphasizes compassionate, respectful care and adherence to established care plans and documentation requirements.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to maintain professional relationships with families and stakeholders.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and implement care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, person-centered supervision in home and community.
• Supervise and assist with ADLs (bathing, toileting, dressing, hygiene).
• Prepare meals and assist feeding.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Supervise medication administration as needed.
• Transport to medical and personal appointments.
• Observe and report health/behavior changes to supervisor.
• Complete daily logs and progress notes per DDS/Regional Center standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and activities.
