Job summary

QSAC is hiring a Direct Support Professional in New York. The role supports individuals with disabilities by following treatment plans and promoting independence through community integration and recreational activities.

You will uphold the Direct Support Professional Code of Ethics while contributing to a person-centered service model. The position involves assisting with relationships, safety, and well-being, and may require transporting individuals in agency vehicles.

Qualifications

• Experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• NYS Driver's License required; clean driving record preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to develop and maintain relationships.
• Promote health, safety, and emotional well-being of individuals.
• Support person-centered plans and respect individual preferences and culture.
• Work with others to help individuals lead self-directed lives.
• Follow established treatment plans and ensure safety during transport if needed.
