Job summary

NAFI Connecticut is seeking Direct Support Professionals for the Corey Rd program in North Haven. You will support three men with intellectual disabilities, helping with daily living skills and community integration in a group-home setting.

Responsibilities include coaching, documenting progress, crisis prevention when needed, and maintaining boundaries. Benefits include generous paid time off, vacations, holidays, health coverage, retirement plans, and licensure reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Experience with DD/MR or Behavioral Health populations.
• CNA/PCA experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with daily living activities and transportation.
• Record client interactions and progress.
• Provide coaching on independent living and coping strategies.
• Maintain professional boundaries and professionalism.
• Participate in training and team meetings.
