Job summary

DABS, Inc. is hiring Direct Support Professionals in California to empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will support daily living activities, accompany clients on community outings, and document health changes to ensure quality care.

We offer full and part-time positions with day, evening and overnight shifts, paid sick leave, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for growth. Competitive pay ranges from $20 to $22 per hour.

Qualifications

• A caring heart and commitment to helping others live with dignity.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• A valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and insurance.
• Willingness to undergo a state and federal fingerprint background check.
• CPR certification and a TB test; training can be provided.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with everyday activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, and personal hygiene routines.
• Take individuals on community outings—whether for appointments, errands, or just to enjoy the day.
• Track and document changes in overall health and behavior to support their care.
• Assist with medication reminders or administration when needed.
• Work collaboratively with a team of professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
