Job summary

The Opportunity Tree is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our Day Programs in Maricopa, AZ. You will support Members with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them develop daily living skills and independence.

Responsibilities include supervising health and safety, implementing person-centered plans, coordinating transportation, and documenting progress. We value teamwork, reliability, and compassionate care in a non-profit setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• Current driver's license with clean driving record per insurance requirements.
• Ability to communicate in English (speaking, writing, reading).
• Experience in IDD field preferred.
• Fingerprint clearance card in AZ preferred.
• CPR/First Aid training may be required.
• Reliable transportation and possible travel for business.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Members’ health, safety, and daily living activities.
• Support basic living skills per the Person-Centered Plan.
• Encourage positive interpersonal skills.
• Coordinate transportation as per plan.
• Ensure proper medication procedures are followed.
• Document progress and communicate with staff.
• Maintain records and submit documentation on time.
• Promote a safe home environment and confidentiality.
• Advocate for Members and families in the community.
