Job summary

Living Innovations Support Services is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Oxford, ME to empower adults with IDD to lead fulfilling lives at home and in the community. Full training is provided, and you’ll join a supportive team.

Responsibilities include daily living assistance, transportation to appointments, and facilitating social activities while fostering independence and dignity. A high school diploma and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• A patient, caring, and positive attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with individuals with IDD.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to individual needs.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state issued driver’s license, current vehicle insurance declaration and vehicle registration.
• Access to a reliable vehicle.
• The ability to pass comprehensive background checks per state and company regulations/policies.
• Must be able to provide 2 professional references.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living assistance with tasks like dressing, meal preparation, and personal hygiene.
• Provide transportation to appointments and community outings.
• Encourage participation in social activities and hobbies.
• Help individuals develop life skills and achieve their goals.
• Foster a positive and supportive environment that promotes independence and dignity.
