Job summary

Northeast Arc's Collins Street Residence in Danvers, MA is hiring Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live meaningful, independent lives.

As a full-time DSP, you will provide direct care, personal care, meal prep, and community activities, administer MAP-compliant medications, and document health data while ensuring safety and respect for residents in a convenient North Shore location near Liberty Tree Mall and public transit.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid and MAP Certification required.
• Valid Massachusetts driver's license required.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with transfers.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and provide physical intervention when necessary.
• Strong communication skills and person-centered supports.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to meet individuals' clinical, social, and daily living needs.
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, transferring, and other individualized support needs.
• Support meal preparation, household activities, and recreational opportunities.
• Facilitate meaningful community experiences that encourage skill development, relationship building, and independence.
• Administer medications in accordance with MAP regulations and Northeast Arc policies.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, hospital visits, and community outings as needed.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation, including communication logs, health records, daily data collection, and safety reports.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for all individuals served.
