Job summary

Systems Unlimited, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join Supported Community Living in Washington on a part-time basis. You will assist people with disabilities in their homes and communities, helping them achieve personal goals and daily living skills while documenting care provided.

A valid driving record is preferred and the team provides training. The role offers a $500 sign-on bonus for Washington IA staff, plus retirement, health insurance, paid sick and vacation banks, and

Qualifications

• Driving record that is acceptable is preferred.
• People with a passion to help others encouraged to apply, we will provide the training and classes needed to provide excellent services.

Responsibilities

• Assistance to allow people served to live more independently and happily in their homes by working with them to achieve their personal goals, e.g., healthy eating, exercising, or doing fun activities in their home
• Assist with day-to-day needs (transportation, cleaning, bathing, preparing meals, medical appointments, etc.)
• Go with people served in the community to do activities (Shopping, Special Olympics, movies, etc.)
• Provide encouragement and coaching to people who are working to develop daily living skills & healthy habits
• Write documentation about the support you provided during your shift
• Work with a variety of needs including medical, behavioral, and mental health supports.
