Heart Havens Inc. seeks a caring Full Time Direct Support Professional to work at our Lynchburg home in Lynchburg, VA. The role focuses on empowering residents with developmental disabilities and connecting them to community resources.

The DSP will support daily living activities, provide transportation when needed, and collaborate with a team to maintain a safe, respectful environment that upholds Heart Havens’ values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months’ direct support experience required.
• 1 year DD residential experience preferred or 2 years in DD with stable history.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to residents as outlined in ISPs and plans.
• Supervise residents and ensure safety in home and community.
• Assist with activities of daily living and meal prep as needed.
• Administer medications following 6 Rights of Medication Administration.
• Maintain accurate daily notes and records, including ISP notes and logs.
