Job summary

People Creating Success (PCS) is seeking a Direct Support Professional to support adults with developmental disabilities in our supported living program in the Los Angeles area. This part-time role centers on meaningful daily connections and helping participants engage in the community.

You will assist with daily living skills, personal care, and documentation while promoting independence and social activities.

Qualifications

• Compassion with a person-centered mindset.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds during shifts.
• Clean background and ability to pass a live scan.
• Clean drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• CPR / First Aid certification (Training provided if needed).
• Weekend availability is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support participants with daily living skills such as cleaning, cooking, and budgeting
• Encourage and model independence, hobbies, and social activities
• Assist participants access and participate in community activities
• Assist with personal care such as medication support, hygiene and bathing (lifting / transferring is required)
• Collaborate Person-Centered Care planning with participant
• Record keep progress of care plan
