Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) / Special Needs Caregivers to provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities in Mt. Airy and nearby areas.

You will assist with daily activities, encourage independence, transport clients to appointments, and help communities participate in social events. We offer flexible part-time schedules and weekly pay, with benefits and training available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years of age
• One year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred
• Reliable transportation and ability to drive clients to community activities

Responsibilities

• Help individuals participate in community activities and social events
• Provide encouragement, mentorship, and meaningful companionship
• Support personal care needs, including dressing and grooming
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and community outings
• Empower individuals to reach their goals and live as independently as possible

We are currently hiring Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Special Needs Caregivers in the following areas:

• Mt. Airy, NC
• Elkin, NC

What You’ll Do as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Special Needs Caregiver:

• Help individuals participate in community activities and social events
• Provide encouragement, mentorship, and meaningful companionship
• Support personal care needs, including dressing and grooming
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and community outings
• Empower individuals to reach their goals and live as independently as possible

Pay & Schedule

$16.00/hr.

• Weekly pay
• Flexible part‑time schedules
• Multiple shifts available
• Work close to home
