Job summary

MCAR, Inc. in Hermitage, PA is seeking Direct Support Professionals for our residential services. This role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and requires commitment to safe, dignified care in Mercer County.

Responsibilities include health and safety, daily living assistance, transportation, and documenting care in our online system; a HS diploma and valid DL are required. Competitive starting wage with strong benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment background check, physical, TB test, and drug screen.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to read and implement ISP.
• Ability to work a 24-hour group home schedule.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure health and safety of individuals
• Provide emergency support when necessary
• Participate as a team member
• Assist individuals with supporting their goals
• Assist with daily living skills such as personal hygiene care, shopping, laundry and meal preparation
• Transportation to doctor appointments, other programs, employment, etc.
• Documentation on online system required
• Ability to read and implement and Individual Support Plan (ISP)

Job Requirements:

• Driver's License, Social Security Card and High School / GED diploma for pre-employment review
