Job summary

Ability Matters in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Direct Support Professional to help individuals with autism and other disabilities build independence and confidence in their communities. This part-time role focuses on weekends and community-based supports rather times in different locations.

You will engage in activities, provide personalized assistance, and advocate for inclusion, while helping participants develop life skills and navigate real-world experiences with patience and care.

Qualifications

• Education: 2-year degree preferred, not required.
• Team players who take initiative and have a passion for inclusion.
• Strong communication, patience, teamwork, and problem-solving.
• Experience is helpful but not required. Heart, attitude, and willingness to learn matter most.
• Requirements: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
