Job summary

The NEEDS Center is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for part-time weekend shifts in Florida. You will support adults with developmental disabilities in daily activities and skills building, following ABA-based approaches to promote independence in a caring team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
• Empathy and a willingness to help adults with developmental disabilities.
• Experience with behavior management preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Ability to work as part of a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting and supporting individuals in daily routines.
• Providing hands-on personal care to adults with developmental disabilities.
• Implement clinical, educational and vocational programs.
• Observe and record data for programs established in their Individual and Behavior support plans.
• Participate with other team members to create a therapeutic environment that includes regular community membership.
