Job summary

Applied Counseling Counseling Services seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist adults with Autism and other developmental disabilities in community settings. You will support daily living, help develop skills, and promote independence in the individuals you serve.

The role offers full-time or part-time hours (30+ hrs/week) with a pay rate of $20+/hr. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, and you will work with clinical staff to implement individualized

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support tailored to each individual’s needs and goals.
• Assist with activities of daily living (e.g., personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders).
• Support individuals in developing life skills, social skills, and community participation.
• Implement individualized support plans and behavior support strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all individuals served.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and families.
• Respond promptly and professionally to changing needs or situations.
