Penn-Mar is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Floater to support individuals at multiple locations in Carroll County, based in Westminster, MD. The role covers daily living tasks, personal care, transportation, and social activities with a rotating schedule.

We provide extensive paid training, tuition reimbursement, vacation/holiday pay, and a career ladder for advancement. Starting pay is $20.91/hour with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of DSP experience strongly preferred.
• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Valid Driver’s License with 2 years of driving experience and fewer than 3 moving violations within the past 36 months
• Ability to pass pre-employment background/physical/TB/drug screenings
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Light housework: cooking, meal prep, cleaning
• Maintenance of personal care/hygiene routines: feeding, medication administration, bathing, showering, toileting
• Providing transportation to and from doctor’s appointments, outside activities and excursions
• Behavioral and social support (including managing potential physical and verbal outbursts)
• Accurate completion of daily service notes, daily attendance, and other required documentation

• Sun-Tue 8:00a-8:00p (36)
• Thu-Sat 8:00a-8:00p (36)
• Wed-Fri 2:30p-10:30p, Sat 10:30a-10:30p (36)

A Direct Support Professional (Also known as DSP, Residential Assistant, Caregiver, Home Health Aide, CNA) is responsible for:

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of DSP experience is strongly preferred for the DSP Floater role
• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Valid Driver’s License with 2 years of consecutive driving experience and less than 3 moving violations within the past 36 months
• Ability to pass pre-employment background/physical/TB/drug screenings
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. as needed
