Job summary

Renew Residential Services LLC seeks a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide quality care and meaningful support to individuals with developmental disabilities, aging needs, or health-related challenges in their homes and communities.

You will help residents live as independently as possible while ensuring safety, comfort, dignity, and overall quality of life through person-centered care and positive support. This is a rewarding role that makes a real difference every day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pass background checks and required screenings.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred; HIPAA training a plus.
• Experience in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or similar home care settings preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts; long shifts require stamina.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with eating; maintain a clean dining environment.
• Assist clients with mobility and transfer needs.
• Implement individualized care plans including developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer’s, autism, and memory care strategies.
• Administer medications per policy and training; document accurately.
• Maintain a safe, clean, supportive living environment.
• Engage clients in social activities and community outings to promote socialization.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry; keep resident areas tidy.
• Document progress with detailed notes on observations and care provided.
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, families, and external providers.
• Respond to emergencies and safety concerns; uphold policies and regulations.
