Job summary

Advancing Abilities Day Program in Piketon, Ohio is seeking a Direct Support Professional to help individuals with developmental disabilities live fuller, more independent lives. The role involves hands-on support, personal care, meal prep, and participation in workshop tasks.

Two full-time shifts are available (days and evenings), with a wage scale of $16.05–$20.61 per hour and paid training. A HS diploma/GED, valid driver's license, and clear background check are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services and supports to individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities, including maintaining a clean, safe living environment, personal hygiene, meal preparation and workshop tasks.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment.
• Assist with daily living activities and ensure safety and well-being of participants.
• Collaborate with staff to maintain quality services and effective communication.

1 FULL-TIME EVENING POSITION OPEN! (Mon-Fri 1pm-9pm)

Wage Scale: $16.05/hour-$20.61/hour (Based on previous experience in the field of developmental disabilities)

Direct Support Professionals are responsible to provide direct services and supports to the individual with developmental/intellectual disabilities, including, but not limited to: assisting in maintaining a clean, safe living environment, personal hygiene, meal preparation and completion of various workshop tasks; and supervising, teaching, and assisting the individual in every aspect of their life, with the goals of fostering increased independence, choice and empowerment. Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma/GED, minimum 21 year of age, valid driver's license, personal liability insurance, good driving record, and a clear background check.
