Connections in Ohio is seeking an energetic and passionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide supported living services to individuals with developmental disabilities in our Cuyahoga County homes. This role focuses on helping clients live more independently and grow within their communities.

DSP Float positions offer $19.75 per hour with a $20.75 per hour rate for the 2nd shift. We provide paid training, competitive benefits, and opportunities for bonuses and promotions.

Qualifications

• 21 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Ohio Driver License (4 points or less).
• Reliable transportation and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in reaching personal goals and daily living needs.
• Transport to community outings such as zoo, movies, and grocery trips.
• Assist with household cleaning and daily tasks.
• Attend medical appointments with individuals.

What’s a day like as a DSP? Working alongside our individual to help with daily living needs!

Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• · Assisting each individual reach personal goals or growth-Help someone learn how to cook their favorite meal!
• · Transportation to community outings (Zoo, movies, grocery store, etc.)
• · Assist individual with household cleaning
• · Medical appointments

DSPFloat Position:This is a Part-time or full-time position. We are seeking candidates who thrive on variety in their work experience.

Part-time: Candidates who are available to work 1st and 2nd shift (7a-11p) or 2 nd and 3 rd shift (3p-8:30a) and are able to work at least 1 weekend day. Work locations will vary from week to week, average of 16-32 hours will be guaranteed.

Full-time: Candidates who are available to work 1st and 2nd shift (7a-11p) or 2 nd and 3 rd shift (3p-8:30a) and are able to provide 6-day availability, including 1 weekend day. Work locations will vary from week to week, average of 36-40 hours will be guaranteed.
