Job summary

Dungarvin seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver to provide direct support and guidance to individuals with disabilities. You will empower people to live as independently as possible while respecting their dignity.

You will perform hands‑on care, assist with daily living activities, and help with personal tasks. A valid driver’s license is required, and you will drive company vehicles as needed. Training and orientation are provided.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid driver's license.
• Comfortable driving company vehicles as required.
• 18 years or older.
• Background clearance required during onboarding.
• Excellent reading, writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance to individuals served.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of those we serve.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, dressing, bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.

A Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.

• Provide hands‑on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and more.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties

Qualifications

• Valid Drivers License (due to transporting persons served)
• Candidates must be comfortable driving company vehicles to transport persons served as required
  • Some positions/locations may require your own personal vehicle and auto liability insurance based on the role
