Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Somerset, NJ. Flexible schedules and weekly pay with a $1,000 signing bonus are available.

As a DSP you will assist with activities of daily living, community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently. Paid training and opportunities for growth accompany a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license and current automotive insurance with reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal background checks, driving record check, and healthcare registry checks.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities is not required; paid training and support provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on daily living support at home, in the community, and in workplaces.
• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with ADLs such as meal prep, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Maintain documentation and attend ongoing training.

What Youll Do

As a DSP you will provide hands on support that helps individuals build independence and confidence at home in the community and in the workplace Being a DSP is a rewarding experience you will genuinely make a difference and contribute to someones journey towards a more meaningful life

Responsibilities will include Building positive relationships and supporting individuals in achieving personal goalsAssisting with daily living activities such as meal preparation hygiene and household tasksSupporting individuals in community participation employment and social activitiesUsing adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communicationEncouraging independence and helping individuals develop new skillsMonitoring health and safety while maintaining a supportive environmentCommunicating with Abound team members families and external parties case managers etc as neededCompleting documentation and maintaining schedulesCompleting in ongoing training and professional development

Pay & Signing Bonus

Starting Pay 23hour for non acuity; 33hour for acuity 1000 signing bonus paid when averaging 20 hoursweek paid in 3 installments 90 days 333 6 months 333 and 12 months 334
