Job summary

Abound Health in New Jersey is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live more independently.

Starting pay is $23/hour for non-acuity and $33/hour for acuity, with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments when averaging 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or IDD support.
• Ability to assist with activities of daily living.
• Willingness to undergo paid onboarding and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation hygiene and household tasks
• Support individuals in community participation employment and social activities
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicate with Abound team members families and external parties as needed
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules
• Complete ongoing training and professional development

Responsibilities will include

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid drivers license current automotive insurance and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass criminal record driving record and healthcare registry checks
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary
• Lifting may be required depending on client needs
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required we provide paid training and support

Pay & Signing Bonus

Starting Pay 23hour for non acuity; 33hour for acuity 1000 signing bonus paid in 3 installments when averaging 20 hoursweek
