Dungarvin is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work hands-on with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living activities, help clients pursue personal goals, and document progress in electronic systems.

The role emphasizes safety, independence, and compassionate, person-centered supports. You will join a mission-driven team with paid training, full-time benefits, and a schedule that may include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with activities of daily living and household tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment and promote independence.
• Support ISPs and document progress in electronic systems.

Job Description

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with potential behavioral support needs.
• Assistwith activities of daily living, household cleaning, meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, personal goals, appointments, community activities, and engagement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
• Promote independence, personal choice, and life skills development.
• Support individuals in achieving goals andobjectivesoutlined in their Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and document progress accordingly.
• Observe and communicate changes, concerns, and progress to supervisors and team members.
• Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed.
• Completeaccurateandtimelyelectronic documentationin accordance withprogram and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Required (Must-Have)

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Willingness toassistindividuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, or squat for extended periods
• Ability tolift upto 50lbs

• Experience, training, or transferable skills that support success in a direct support role
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Genuine interest in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Ability to promote independence, community engagement, and person-centered supports
