Job summary

Special Citizens Futures Unlimited in Peekskill is seeking dedicated individuals to provide direct support to those with developmental disabilities or autism. Positions are available in Full Time, Part Time, and Per-Diem roles. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities and promoting community integration.

The pay is $18.15 per hour, plus benefits such as 401(k) matching and paid time off. A $1,750 sign-on bonus is available upon successful completion of 6 months. Join us in making a difference!

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Comfortable driving a 15-passenger van – road testing required.
• Must attend additional trainings within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration
• Ensure the safety and well‑being of individuals under your care
• Promote independence and community integration for individuals with disabilities
• Document and maintain accurate records of services provided
• Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License and High School Diploma/GED.
• Comfortable driving a 15‑passenger van – you will be road tested prior to starting.
• Must attend additional trainings within 6 months of hired (CPR, SCIP, AMAP).
• Comfortable with daily use of technology (computer, email, phone, typing etc).
• Effective verbal and written communication.

$1,750 sign on bonus after successful completion of 6 months
