Direct Support Professional (DSP) Requirements

1. DSP certified or the ability to become certified through our paid training
2. At least 18 years of age
3. Transportation to your shifts
4. Lift 50 lbs
5. Pass a criminal background check

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Duties

1. Assist individuals with personal care needs – all ADL’s
2. Assisting with all household tasks, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning; maintain a safe and healthy home environment that encourages learning.
3. Monitor individuals and engage in redirection.
4. Document individual’s activities, concerns, and progress notes as required.
5. Participate in and out-of-home activities which may include driving company vehicles.
6. Provide an Abuse and Neglect free environment at all times.
