Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Direct Support Personnel I to assist individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges in various settings, helping develop interpersonal skills and daily living activities. The role works directly with residents to provide supports for ADLs and adaptive skills.

The incumbent will follow each resident's Individual Service Plan, ensuring compliance with standards and state regulations, while engaging in priorities and tasks to promote

Qualifications

• High School diploma or its equivalent is required.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges with growth and development of interpersonal skills and activities of daily living in home, community or residential setting.
• Provide supports for activities of daily living and adaptive skills while working directly with residents.
• Follow the resident's Individual Service Plan.

The Direct Support Personnel I assists individuals withintellectual disabilities or mental health challenges with growth anddevelopment of interpersonal skills and activities of daily living in the home,community or residential setting. The Direct Support Personnel I works directlywith the resident and provides supports for activities of daily living andadaptive skills. The Direct Support Personnel I should follow the guidance ofthe resident/ patients Individual Service Plan.
