Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Red Hook, NY. This contract-full-time role pays $23 per hour for 40 hours per week in healthcare facilities.

You will support individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges with daily living activities and interpersonal growth. You will follow each resident's Individual Service Plan and collaborate with the team to ensure safety and quality of life.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification if applicable.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to follow Individual Service Plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges in daily living activities.
• Support growth of interpersonal skills and activities of daily living in home, community or residential settings.
• Follow resident/patient Individual Service Plan as directed.

The Direct Support Personnel I assists individuals withintellectual disabilities or mental health challenges with growth anddevelopment of interpersonal skills and activities of daily living in the home,community or residential setting. The Direct Support Personnel I works directlywith the resident and provides supports for activities of daily living andadaptive skills. The Direct Support Personnel I should follow the guidance ofthe resident/ patients Individual Service Plan.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or its equivalent
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health Certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks
