Job summary

Horizon House of Illinois Valley, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals to empower and support individuals with disabilities to learn, grow, thrive and connect within the community.

You will teach daily living skills, assist with personal care and budgeting, and help clients access inclusive activities. The role emphasizes advocacy, teamwork with families and agencies, and commitment to high-quality, compassionate supports.

Qualifications

• Illinois DHS qualifications to become a DSP.
• High School Diploma or GED (no online High School Diplomas will be accepted).
• Pass a physical, drug screen, and background check (State of Illinois and DCFS).
• Valid driver's license.
• Pass a reading comprehension test.

Responsibilities
