Job summary

Serenity, LLC is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide 1:1 in-home and community support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in New Jersey. The role includes assisting with daily living skills, personal care, and transportation, with a focus on independence and person-centered goals.

We offer flexible scheduling, paid training, and competitive pay. Eligible applicants will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 18+ years old minimum.
• Valid driver’s license and a reliable, insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass background checks and screenings.
• Smartphone or computer access for documentation.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently.
• Experience with I/DD is preferred but not required; CPR/First Aid training provided if needed.

Full-Time | Part-Time | Per Diem
$21.50-$26.50 per hour

Serenity is hiring compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities
• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized
• Provide safe transportation
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals
• Complete timely service notes and required documentation
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Valid driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle
• Ability to pass required background checks and DDD screenings
• Smartphone or computer access for documentation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD is preferred but not required. CPR and First Aid training will be provided if needed.
