Central Florida Communities, Inc. (CFC) seeks compassionate caregiver staff at Lake View Court in Orlando to provide around-the-clock support for residents with developmental disabilities.
You will assist with daily living tasks, monitor safety, and document care activities in line with individual plans. The role emphasizes empathy, reliability, and clear communication with residents, families, and teammates.
Central Florida Communities, Inc. (CFC) has warm, welcoming, home-inspired facilities and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities in Orange, Brevard, Lake and Seminole Counties. CFC operates three 64-bed Intermediate Care Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled (ICF/DDs): Howell Branch Court, Lake View Court, and Washington Square. As a member of our staff, you will be part of one of these living centers and provide vital around-the-clock care, including nursing and medical oversight, to our residents.

This position directly supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It helps with everyday tasks such as activities of daily living (ADLs), daily grooming, meal service, risk mitigation, and following any applicable behavioral management plans as defined by the resident’s individual needs. The role actively engages with individuals at all times and provides all necessary supports to meet their needs, including direct care and service requirements. It follows the Active Treatment/Programming schedule and identifies hazards or dangerous behaviors in the environment, taking immediate action to avoid, mitigate, or eliminate hazards. The position ensures the safety of self, residents/consumers, co-workers, families, guardians, and visitors at all times. It also involves implementing electronic and paper documentation of training needs, programming, incident reporting, data collection, and behavior observations.
Required Qualification: High School Diploma or equivalent education is required. Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications: 6 months experience preferred working with Intellectual/Developmental Disability populations.
A criminal history background check and sex offender registry check will be required for the finalist under consideration for this position.
