Job summary

Serenity, LLC in New Jersey is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide one-on-one in-home and community support to adults with I/DD. You will assist with daily living skills, transportation, and community engagement while following individualized service plans.

The role offers flexible scheduling across day, evening, and weekend shifts, paid training, and competitive pay. Prior experience is preferred but not required; training including CPR/First Aid is provided.

Qualifications

• Requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Experience with individuals with I/DD is preferred but not required.
• CPR and First Aid training will be provided if needed.

$21.50-$26.50 per hour

Serenity is hiring compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities
• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized
• Provide safe transportation
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals
• Complete timely service notes and required documentation
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Valid driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle
• Ability to pass required background checks and DDD screenings
• Smartphone or computer access for documentation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD is preferred but not required. CPR and First Aid training will be provided if needed.
