Job summary

Community Access Services (CAS) in Saint Helens, OR is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities live independently and with dignity. The role includes assisting with daily living, medication administration, and community activities, with paid training and a $1,000 hiring bonus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Pass a national background check.
• Become an approved company driver.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility support.
• Experience in caregiving, healthcare, behavioral health, childcare, or human services is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, supportive relationships with individuals served.
• Assist with daily living activities such as cooking, personal care, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support community outings, appointments, recreation, and personal goals.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and skill development.
• Administer medications and complete documentation accurately; maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment.
• Advocate for the choices, dignity, and well-being of the people you support.

What Does a Direct Support Professional Do?

As a Direct Support Professional, you'll help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities live as independently as possible while building meaningful relationships.
