Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care in Jacksonville, NC is seeking Direct Support Professionals to empower individuals with IDD to live independently and engage in their communities.

As a DSP, you’ll provide personal care, transportation to appointments and outings, assist with meals, and support clients in hobbies. Flexible part-time schedules with weekly pay and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• One year experience working or volunteering with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) or related training.
• High school diploma or equivalent (18+)

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming).
• Provide clients with transportation on errands, appointments and community outings.
• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities.
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation.
• Participate in community integration activities.

We are currently hiring multiple Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in the following areas:

• Jacksonville
• Hubert
• Maple Hill
• Trenton

How You’ll Make an Impact as a Direct Support Professional (DSP):

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
• Provide clients with transportation on errands, appointments and community outings
• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• Participate in community integration activities

Compensation & Schedule:

• Competitive pay rates and weekly pay!
• Flexible scheduling (part-time, various shifts)
• Short commute times (we try to match opportunities within 30 minutes near your home)
• Pay Rate: $16/hr.

Qualifications for Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP):

• One year experience working or volunteering with intellectual and development disabilities
• If you do not have this experience, training MAY available through our apprentice program
• High school diploma or equivalent (18+)
• Ability to provide clients with transportation to and from appointments, errands and community outings
