Job summary

Thrive Community Support Services (Thrive CSS) is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support an individual with IDD in their home and community. DSPs play a vital role in helping individuals build independence and meaningful routines within supportive environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass required background checks (PA clearances).
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; IDD experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist individual with activities of daily living (personal care, meal preparation, household tasks).
• Support skill development to promote independence and self-advocacy.
• Encourage participation in community activities and social opportunities.
• Follow individual support plan, behavioral support strategies, and health plan.
• Ensure health, safety, rights, and dignity are upheld at all times.
• Complete accurate and timely service documentation.
• Communicate changes, concerns, or incidents to supervisors as required.

DSPs play a vital role in helping individuals build independence, meaningful routines, and strong community connections.
