Job summary

Avancer Homes LLC is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our team at the Persimmon CILA home in Genoa, Illinois. This position offers full-time or part-time hours with various shifts, and a starting pay up to $16.00–$26.00 per hour based on experience.

As a DSP you will provide personal assistance to individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities, help with daily living activities, document progress, and participate in both in-home and community activities, including

Qualifications

• DSP certified or ability to become certified through paid training.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Transportation to your shifts.
• Lift 50 lbs.
• Pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care needs – all ADLs.
• Assist with household tasks, meal prep, cooking and cleaning; maintain a safe and healthy home environment that encourages learning.
• Monitor individuals and redirect behavior.
• Document individuals' activities, concerns and progress notes as required.
• Participate in and out-of-home activities which may include driving company vehicles.
• Provide an Abuse and Neglect free environment at all times.
