Job summary

Avancer Homes LLC is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our Persimmon CILA home in Genoa, Illinois. We offer full-time and part-time roles with all shifts available.

Starting pay ranges from $16.00 to $25.00 per hour depending on experience, plus a $1,000 sign-on bonus. DSPs provide personal assistance to individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities in a supportive home setting.

Qualifications

• Must be DSP certified or able to become certified through our paid training.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Must have reliable transportation to shifts.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care needs (ADLs).
• Help with daily living activities and household tasks including meals and cleaning.
• Monitor individuals and provide redirection as needed.
• Document activities and progress notes as required.
• May drive company vehicles for approved activities.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Requirements

• DSP certified or the ability to become certified through our paid training
• At least 18 years of age
• Transportation to your shifts
• Lift 50 lbs
• Pass a criminal background check

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Duties

• Assist individuals with personal care needs – all ADL’s
• Assisting with all household task, meal preparation cooking and cleaning; maintain a safe and healthy home environment that encourage learning.
• Monitor individuals and engage in redirection.
• Document individual’s activities, concerns and progress notes as required.
• Participate in and out-of-home activities which may include driving company vehicles.
• Provide an Abuse and Neglect free environment at all times.
